Are you a student who loves dancing?

Then you don't want to miss the KaasKoppenTrofee!

During the Grand Prix van Alkmaar, we host a special student competition in the evening session, where fun, socializing and a great atmosphere take center stage. Whether you already have experience in competitive dancing or are simply looking for an exciting dance adventure, everyone is welcome.

The KaasKoppenTrofee is an open competition:

No need to be a member of the NADB or any other dance association
For beginners and experienced competitors alike
All you need is enthusiasm and a love of dancing

KaasKoppenTrofee

The main competition, for students taking to the floor with their own dance partner.

You register as a couple
3 dances in the preliminary rounds (Slow Waltz, Tango, Quickstep / Cha-Cha, Rumba, Jive)
4 dances in the A-Final (+ Viennese Waltz / + Samba)
Dancers with competition experience in NADB/ DTV B-Class or higher, WDC Pre-Amateurs (300+ points), or the NVAD Competition Class may not compete with their regular partner. Participation with a different partner is permitted.

Blind Date Cup

No dance partner? No problem. For the Blind Date competitions, you will be paired with another participant. It's a fun and accessible way to meet new people and enjoy the dance floor together.

🧀 Kaaskop Edition 🧀

Dressing up is not required, but creative outfits inspired by cheese, cheese-lovers, or the city of Alkmaar are highly encouraged. In addition to the regular competition prizes, a special award will be presented to the participant or couple with the most original Kaaskoppen look.
